The RG-D2 follows the traditional six-spoke design while skillfully incorporating the latest trends. This includes an advanced side cut, which seamlessly carves out both sides of the spokes, and three different spoke concaves, which are set according to the rim width and inset. The six spokes that are a tradition of the RG design have side cut machining in accordance with the latest ADVAN Racing technology trend, and advanced side cut swoops between two spokes with no join. Further, three types of concave spokes are standard designs for 18×7.5J/8.0J/8.5J, while 18×8.5J/9.0J/9.5J are the GTR design, and 9.5J/10.0J/10.5J/11.0J are the Super GTR design, each with as great a concave design as is possible with die-cast
Features
This is the first model change in the six years since the release of the RG-D. It has evolved into the RG-D2.
- The step rim features a one-piece cast structure. The diamond cut design makes it look like a two-piece wheel.
- A dynamic design approach that offers three different spoke concaves depending on the size: standard design, GTR design, and Super GTR design.
- The ADVAN Racing FLOW FORMING JAPAN MADE logo is printed on the step rim using heat transfer printing, certifying that this wheel is an ADVAN Racing wheel.
- The side cuts on the sides of the spokes use the latest “Advanced Side Cut” technology, which involves seamless gouging on both sides.
- Available in 18-inch size only, it features a racing rim profile with a tire surface that can be fitted with brake systems with large diameter rotors up to 400mm (compatibility with 400mm rotors depends on the caliper that is combined with it).
- The color variations are Machining & Racing Hyper Black, Semi-Gloss Black without rim cutting, and the new color Machining & Black Gunmetallic.
