The Alpinestars AST v2 Air Jacket is a high-performance riding jacket designed to offer exceptional airflow and protection for the modern motorcyclist. Engineered for durability and comfort, this jacket is constructed from hard-wearing 600 Denier poly-fabric and incorporates extensive mesh panels strategically placed on the front, back, and arms to ensure optimum ventilation during warm-weather rides.

Safety is a priority with the AST v2 Air. This jacket is Tech-Air® 5 ready; Tech-Air® is the world’s first completely electronic, self-contained, full independent upper body motorcycle airbag system with no bike-to-rider set-up configurations required. Strategically positioned stretch panel inserts have been designed to accommodate the Alpinestars Airbag System, allowing for expansion when the airbag inflates while offering a superior anatomical fit when riding without the system.

Impact protection is provided by removable Nucleon Flex protectors in the elbows and shoulders, which are lightweight, sleek, and highly resistant to impacts. For added durability, GP Lite sliders on the shoulders provide superior abrasion resistance in a key area. The jacket also features chest and back pad compartments with comfort padding, which can be upgraded with Alpinestars Nucleon protectors for enhanced safety.

Designed for an optimized riding experience, the sleeves feature a pre-curved construction to reduce fatigue. A volume adjustment system on the sleeves incorporates hook-and-loop adjustments for a highly personalized fit, ensuring the elbow protectors remain securely in place. The elongated rear profile and hook-and-loop D-ring waist adjustment provide additional comfort and a customized fit for any riding position.
