The Alpinestars SM3 Helmet is engineered to provide riders with a superior blend of performance, protection, and comfort. Specifically optimized for MX, Enduro, and offroad use, this helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a specialized polymer blend. The varying degrees of thickness are meticulously engineered to deliver the optimal combination of high-impact protection and lightweight performance.

Advanced Construction

The lightweight outer shell is constructed from impact-resistant thermoplastic, while the inner shell features composite fiber assembled between the outer shell and the EPS liner. This multi-layered approach ensures maximum protection against impacts. The interior features a 6-piece EPS liner with five distinct densities to effectively manage volume and impact performance across different zones. To manage rotational acceleration forces from oblique impacts, a low-friction coating is applied to the polished inner EPS liner to reduce friction with the comfort liner.

Superior Ventilation and Comfort

Riders will experience maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange thanks to ten inlets and seven exhaust ports. The visor is specifically designed to direct air into these ports for enhanced airflow. For added convenience and performance during long rides, hydration tube channels are integrated directly into the helmet’s cheek pads. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials, supporting a lower carbon footprint, while the fit can be tailored via the crown and cheek pads.

Safety and Protection Features

• Emergency Release System: Permits the safe and easy removal of 3D contoured foam cheek pads while the helmet is still on.
• Visor Release System: Designed to release the visor with a pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.
• Secure Fastening: Equipped with stainless steel D-rings to ensure a tight and secure fit at all times.
• Impact Optimization: The chin area is optimized for superior impact performance, complemented by a 25 mm soft textile chin strap for optimal safety.
